My family and I are still trying to figure this out! Definitely not from my parents! Sorry Mom and Dad. I've always been exposed to music through dance. At age 7, I remember my parents and my dance teacher constantly trying to stop me from singing while I was dancing. At daycare, a Concert Coordinator noticed something special with my voice while I was practicing and invited me to perform at a Christmas recital and a summer festival. During that time, my family noticed that I had the ability to learn and remember lyrics of several songs overnight.
Another main factor for my musical talent is practice, a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance. In High School my friends and I formed a band, that's when I realized that I wanted to be a performer. I've been taking voice lessons for 3 years and I did not want to rely on anyone to perform so I decided to learn how to play the guitar and the piano by myself. Although it can be hard at times, practicing several hours per day is definitely starting to pay off.
